Guest guest
Dear Sydband Family This is personal and off/topic from banding and weight loss but it is huge for me and I need to share it. I hope it's all right to do so! My dear 23 year old son is in the US Navy (he is a dual citizen and enlisted as a jet mechanic earlier this year). He is doing advanced training in Hawaii and has just received orders he will be sent to the Middle East ( he can't say where, only that there's a lot of sand around) to be working - not on an aircraft carrier, as he was originally told, but in a hangar on a ground base -It's not Iraq or Afghanistan, but " close by " he says. He will fly there just before Christmas and will be there for 6 months, then back to Hawaii (or so they say). Motherly instinct kicks in when I talk or email with him - you know, positive, supportive, cheerful all that - and I AM adjusting to all this I think ok - but deep in my heart there is worry and fear. It is such a dangerous part of the world. My uncle was killed in the Korean War at the exact same age and all my childhood, I witnessed the terrible ongoing grief of the family. I appreciate any support and prayers for him. Many thanks, AMERICAN SUE

Guest guest
Red Wolf, The universe is really testing that mother love of yours. I believe that your son is needed in these foreign hard places because his energy is that of calmness, connection and understanding. And because of this he will be sent to hard warlike places to help bring the balance that is needed. War is such a hard thing to understand because of the absolute anguish and despair it has given to many people, and just having a loved one being sent there, the universal sadness and anxiety will be so much more intense because the collective conscious has not had time to grief and heal. Please know with every fiber in you that he is in the right place because of the light and love that he holds. God/dess knows this world needs more soft souls like him. I have started burning a yellow candle for him, asking that his journey will be smooth and the time away will be in harmony with his beliefs. And whilst that candle burns that you will be given the strength and calmness to hold him close at all times. Guest guest
Dear Sue, my thoughts are with you. No matter what we always worry about our kids don't we? I hope the next six months goes fast for you and your son so he can be back to the sandy beaches of Hawaii rather than a sandy desert somewhere in the middle east. All the best, Rose. > > > > Dear Sydband Family > > This is personal and off/topic from banding and weight loss but it is > huge for me and I need to share it.
