Guest guest
Hello, And thanks to all who help with their answers and support, I have RRMS and had great success with liquid LDN, but the pharmacy I go to cannot be trusted as they sometimes arbitrarily change the dose or refuse to refridgerate the bottles. (Yes I'm serious) I have asked my doctor for and received the Revia 50 milligram naltrexone tablets, assuming I can simply crush 3 tabs and add to 150 milligrams of distilled water, 150 milliliters = 150 milligrams? then dispense as usual with a eyedropper with milliter gauge on it at my usual 4.5 ml. I have since seen remarks that water is not safe,(degrades the Naltrexone too quickly?) and actually my pharmacy used an unknown sugar solution which they couldn't or wouldn't identify. I want to use distilled water because I am allergic to all artificial sweetners and fear that the pharmacy may have been using one, as I started developing headaches after my nightly dose. If you have any experience with the correct procedure for compounding the liquid LDN ,any advice would be appreceiated, I want to stick with the liquid cause it is instantly absorbed and I have had such remarkable success with it. Thanks again Sue PS Wonder what it would take to get the manufacturer to just put out low dose tabs?, IE 1.5 mlgrms, imagine the simplicity of that! For the liquid form of LDN to sweeten it use Stevia from a healthfood store. Liquid LDN: Acquire some ml measuring equipment from the baby section of a Drug Store and a small bottle with a screw-on cap. Put 50ml of water (distilled is best) and one 50mg " ReVia " Naltrexone tablet in the small bottle and let it dissolve with a little time and shaking. Now each ml of water in that small bottle contains 1 mg of Naltrexone. At bedtime shake the bottle, take a desired dose (no more than 4.5ml), chase it down with some water and store the small bottle in the refrigerator. Some people have reported splitting the tablet in half and dissolving it in 25ml of water to assure freshness every week.
Guest guest
My daughter gets all her medications through her gastrostomy botton and I have always mixed up all the medications together, including the LDN.
