Guest guest
I am so sorry for your loss. I know when we lost our beloved dog, Lady it was devastating for all of us. Lady was the dog that helped my daughter connect more to the world. It was because of Lady that she started to talk to people for the first time. Lady was 14 when she died. She went outside to do her business and when I called her in she didn't come. So since it was sometimes common for her to do this I just left her for another 10 minutes. Our gate was open and I thought she just went out like she sometimes did. But when I couldn't find her I searched the neighborhood. I did so for 2 hours. We went to bed and at first light we were out looking for her. Image our shock when we found her in our backyard in our swimming pool under the cover. She had a heart attack and fell in, drowning. My daughter is autistic and she really connected to Lady. We had a small service for Lady that day. Even my kids friends came to it. We all talked about what Lady had meant to all of us. I think it helped a little by doing this. It has been 3 years since she passed away and we still really miss her, but she is always in our hearts. She was a very special dog and really touched the lives of all around her. Her one and only trick was " Slurp Attack " . When my kids friends would come over they would lay on the floor and yell " Slurp Attack! " and Lady would hold them down with one foot and slurp them. She was very patient and gentle with both my kids. Recently my daughter was written up in Dog Fancy (Feb. 2009 issue) about her and Lady. She drew a picture of her as her way of remembering her. Once again I am so sorry for your loss. Robin www.crittersonthings.com > > Hi There, > > Just a short note to let you know about my most beloved and cherished cat Phantom. I may have written here earlier that Phantom has not been feeling well for the last while. Shortly before Christmas, Phantom's health has been deterioating quite rapidly to the point where she couldn't walk any longer. > > On Tuesday December 23, 2008 between 3-8pm my cat Phantom died in her sleep. It was a horrible time for me, especially when I found her lifeless body in the kitchen. I must have cried for a very long time when I had realized what had happened. > > It was a terrible Christmas for me - the mood was quite subdued and I am still in shock over the loss of my beloved cat. > > Phantom was born on August 13, 1992 and died on Tuesday December 23, 2008. She lived for 16 years, 4 months and 10 days. Phantom was very special to me and I don't think I could ever forget my dear cat for as long as I live. > > Tara Kimberley Torme > > 2061 East 40th Avenue > Vancouver, BC > V5P 1J4 > CANADA > > Home Phone: > > Online Journal: http://blog.myspace.com/aspergergal > > " The Silent Meow " : > > The Asperger's Difference: http://www.aspires-relationships.com/writings_tara__Torme.htm > > " A Series Of Short Stories & Poems " by T K Torme: www.tktorme.com > > Asperger_Social_Support email list: > > Group home page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Asperger_Social_Support > > Group email address: Asperger_Social_Support > > Asperger Social email list: > > Group home page: http://groups.google.com/group/asperger-social?hl=en > > Group email address: asperger-socialgooglegroups >
