Guest guest
found a copy of her July xray on my desk. I hadn't put it in her binder yet. So she asked if she could bring it to school. I said she might want to ask her teacher first. She replied "Well, I will bring it, then ask if I can show it." I was parent helper today, so I was there when she asked if she could show her friends. Mrs. McCabe said she could, and she could take 3 questions. #1: Why do you have that in your back? Answer: Because my surgery is helping my back to grow stronger and straighter. I have skoweeohsis. #2: Can you still play? A: Yeah, just not things like football or other "contract: (her pronunciation, should be contact) sports. I can play golf! #3: Did it hurt? A: Yes! A lot! I filled in a bit more for them - like the name of instumentation: Vertical Expandable Prosthetic Titanium Rib and OMG you should have seen their eyes! LOL they got so big as I rattled it off. It was so cute! Some of these kids have known since Preschool or Kindergarten, and we have always shared with her class, but now they understand more. All I can say is never be afraid to share with your child's teacher and friends!
