Guest guest
Reg Reynolds I am surprised that no one thinks of consulting a psychologist, the kind of professional who makes a living treating (successfully, I might add) irrational fears. Hi , My daughter is 8 and has VERY extreme irrational phobias. <snip>
Guest guest
We are concerned about our 12 year old daughter's comment that 'her moods are telling her to hit herself, but her brain is telling her not to' when she gets angry. Is this seen very often in a child that has autism and OCD? We also have a family histery of Schizophrenia. Her grandmother, great uncle, and great great grandfather had it on my side. Her great grandmother had it on her dad's side. Would this still be considered having a behavior seen as an early sign of a related condition. Or part of the autism spectrum. She is very able to verbally express herself. At the time she said it she had been in timeout for having a meltdown. However, she wasn't angry when she had said it after she calmed down. Unfortunately we don't have any child psychologist in our area. So we will need to be referred else where.
