Guest guest
My stepson took Wellbutrin for a while. He was depressed, and was sleeping all the time. His psychiatrist also said it would help give him more energy. Our insurance at the time wouldn't cover it, so the doc was giving us all his samples - which I had to drive 40 miles to pick up. So eventually he lowered the dose of Wellbutrin and added Prozac, then gradually increased the Prozac and eliminated the Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is the same drug as the one used to help people stop smoking - Zyban??? My stepson tolerated it very well, had no problems at all with it. If insurance would have paid for it I would have left him on that. C __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Yes Zyban and Welbutrin are about the same or are the same. The pamphlet definitely says do not take the two together. alley
Guest guest
Hi Pat, I took Welbutrin for about a year was before the Hep C daignosis. The only thing I noticed about it was it gave me a vertigo type feeling. You know dizzy but not dizzy? Is hard to explain. My Sister is on it and Prozac. The one they use for smoking cessation is different somehow, I think. Guest guest
Forgot to say, I was put on anti-depressants in burn unit. They said because the cycle of constant pain is why they put you on. They had me on Imipramine, that stuff put me right to sleep. Have been on several different ones. I don't take them now except for what the Elavil 100 mg has in it. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Wellbutrin and Zyban are the exact same medicine although dosing may be different for depression vs. quitting smoking. That I don't know. (Being an ex-smoker, I think I'd need a larger dose to help with not smoking!) __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I've been on Wellbutrin for 3 years now and I respond better to it than SSRIs. He's right, it gives me more energy but it did take a little while to get the effect from it. Ofcourse I was in a severe depression first and had been in bed for a month but within a couple of months I was better than ever.
Guest guest
I took Welbutrin and it caused my blood pressure to go sky high! I did not react well to it at all. This was only the second time in my life I ever had any significant side-effect that caused me to stop taking something. I've got a whole bottle or two extra in my cabinet if you are interested. My shrink says it may give me some energy and since I'll be doing the cancer treatment again, it'll help with that too (you know how our friend Interferon is!). > > If you take Welbutrin, how are you doing on it? > > Thanks! > > > Pat / Galaxy Gurl / Alley > > " Pessimism Is Not A Survival Trait " > If the universe is expanding, why can't I find a parking spot? > 'dark matter' doesn't mean asphalt > > >
Guest guest
> I have to, for my sanity's sake push aside the idea of fear at the moment. I do agree with you in the lessening of poisonous habits but one might look at it as a necessary response (and crutch) for an extreme personal present and past history. I know what your saying . As much as i hate these drugs, some times people have to take them. It is there only option. For as long as they continue to treat with these drugs and ignore safe and alternative research and therapy, some will have to continue taking it just to keep functional. This is completly disgusting to me because i know what these drugs are capable of. They don't always keep a person stable, inventually it can turn on them. Causing of course more dangerous drugs to be taken. We are creating a very unstable society. I learned a long time ago that i can't stop it and with the way they are giving these new 5 in 1 jabs (immunizations) it's about to get soooooooooooooooooooooooo much worse. I believe however, that God (Jehovah) is bigger and stronger and more powerful than i am and he is sooooooooooooo going to not only stop this madness, but *will deal personally* with the individuals responsible for all the suffering we see today in relation to these drugs. To know that an enity far greater and more powerful than i am *is* watching gives me great comfort and much needed relief! If not for this realization i would have surly died a long time ago from listening to all that are suffering because of these drugs or because of their loved ones on these drugs and of course, from my own son's experience with these drugs. The cries are loud and endless. Take care my friend and i hope the other guy is listening. Connie You may have noticed my mention of friggin' MKultra in an earlier post and it's something like that if you are aware of that alleged and mostly swept under the carpe subject. Something like that. The monarch project comes to mind as well but ya just don't talk about that round the coffee table these days (for the most part).
