Guest guest
Isn't it illegal for the USDA (or the FDA) or any federal agency to use taxpayer dollars on issues of states rights?nneNAIS may be worse with the states getting involvedPosted by: "O" johno@... mainegrassfedWed Mar 10, 2010 11:16 am (PST)The USDA is holding a conference in Kansas City March 18 and 19. The USDA isPAYING FOR and has invited veterinarians from all states and tribal nations. Ichecked with my state vet and found he is going. The veterinarians areworrisome since they command some respect in government circles, and because oftheir pathogenic view of disease, most are eager for better traceabilitysystems.I hope all of you will find out if your state vet is participating. You need towrite letters directly to the head of your state Departments of Agriculture toprotest this participation. Let them know you have fought long and hard againstthis program, and are unhappy the the states are now pursuing it.The USDA will undoubtedly dangle federal dollars in front of the states topursue the program. This is a more worrisome development than the USDA everdirectly posed to small producers. States are desperate for cash, and I'vefound that many are eager to promote agribusinesses interests at the expense ofsmall producers. Please get involved in your states now, the danger is worse than ever.
