Guest guest
Hi Vali, speaking for myself only, I find that if I keep it pretty much around the same time each night, it "seems" to work pretty darned good. My dose is 4.5mg and I take it at 11:30pm. Jim (rrms) [low dose naltrexone] a question about my LDN I have a question for all of you guys. Guest guest
Val, Dr. Bihari advises to take it about an hour or so before you go to bed. Ideally between 9:30-11:00 PM. Don't change because if daylight savings time... your body will adjust in a few days. Regards, Tom [low dose naltrexone] a question about my LDN > > I have a question for all of you guys. Guest guest
It seems like daylight savings time may screw up the works but we do have a rather large window in which to work! What I do is during the spring time change I take my pill at the same time as allways cause heck thats just an hour later and we are still well within the 9:00 to 3:00 time of taking. Of course I take mine at midnight or so anyway.and this was from lots of trial and error over the last year just so I could attaine the best results. The only time this change affects me at all is in the fall when we move back and then I would be taking it at 11:00 but still no real problem even at that. I found that when I took my LDN at the 9:00pm time I never got the consistantly good results that I get now with the later time of taking. My conclusion is that my body processes and dispels the Revia/Naltrexone or any other drug much faster than most others, resulting in my opiod receptors being unblocked to soon. This results in fewer of my endorphins getting created than I need, and fewer good results. Now I am not a Dr. by any means but maybe I am in tune with my body and listened to it. Right now it is telling me to get some sleep so I will leave you with this one thought. If we won't take control of our destiny ourselves, then who else would we trust to do it? sorry but that Schiavo thing is getting to me. Reg. -- [low dose naltrexone] a question about my LDN I have a question for all of you guys. I've never really heard this talked about, but is it important to take LDN at more or less the same time every night? I'm just wondering about this because when I started with my Copaxone the nurse at my neuro's office said that it was important to try to take it at about the same time every day. I can't decide whether or not it's that important to take the LDN at the same time every day, so I thought I'd ask you guys who've mostly been taking it for a lot longer than me.Sort of on the same subject, when we spring ahead for daylight saving's time next week, should I start taking my LDN an hour later according to the clock? I try to take mine around 9:00 or 10:00 because I have to get up at 5:00 on the mornings when I work, and so I've been trying to get it into my night time routine. But daylight saving's time seems like it may screw everything up. My body's 9:00 pm will become 10:00 pm on the clock, and I'm just not sure what to do about that. Staying up till 10:00 on a work night won't be that big a deal because I'm hardly ever in bed before that time anyway. I've just never been one of those people who can come home from work and be asleep within an hour.Anyway, I appreciate any advice anyone can give me on these two questions.Vali
