Change can be extremely difficult for children with Autism and their families.

 Autism Partnership has some amazing summer break programs for children and

their parents!  Just in time for when school ends.

Tuesdays and Thursdays

in Seal Beach

This program uses ABA strategies to develop age-typical play and social skills.

 Both indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities are provided.

 Observational learning, joint attention and other skills needed for group

learning and participation are emphasized. Opportunities for parent education

and participation will be included.

TEACHES:

       playground games, imaginative/thematic

       play and interactive play

with the continued development of social communication skills.  Programming to

develop the behavioral awareness and regulation necessary for group learning and

classroom participation is emphasized.

This co-ed group focuses on increasingly complex social skills, including

perspective taking, social reciprocity and understanding non-verbal aspects of

communication. This group practices maintaining behavior control while

participating in collaborative activities. Goals also include maintaining

appropriate levels of interest and excitement during a variety of age-related

activities.

For Ages  14-17  

Mondays and Wednesdays

3:30 – 5:30p

In Seal Beach

This co-ed group focuses on higher-level social skills such as perspective

taking, social reciprocity and sustained conversation.   Students will receive

instruction in self-monitoring of their behavior and practice skills in a social

context.  Expanding the student’s knowledge of popular culture and teen

interests are a focus of this group.

  ◠Frustration Tolerance/Stress Management

To request enrollment, please submit the REQUEST FOR SERVICE form (available

under Services tab on www.autismpartnership.com.)  If the Clinical teams feel

your child may benefit from the other children participating and the curriculum

offered, we will have your child come in to an immediate interview.  This

preview will allow us to confirm that your child will benefit from attending the

group this summer.

Fees:  $65/hr for attendance. Services must include 2hrs/mo of Program

Supervision @ $95/hr
