Guest guest
I would post my meals, but I don't think people who are not on their free day would appreciate it very much. I didn't go all out today like last week. I skipped breakfast, cuz I just did, and lunch was not bad either:) Hope everyone is having a SUPER day! Can't wait to start all over again tomorrow:) laters leigh fl > Good Morning All, > > Today I will be at a friend's house helping them paint. I would not consider that as a meal since the protein is way low. Kelley
Guest guest
The meal with WW bread, apple, and turkey breast seems to have 2 carb portions. The other meals look pretty good. He can have more whole meals if he likes. Cottage cheese with the apple could be a meal. Yes, portion size is the size of fist. I follow this even for veggies. Lettuce would be better than nothing for a veggie. I don't always get veggies at every meal, but it would be good if he could get a veggie at the lunch meal. Cottage cheese is a protein and yogurt is a carb. I have 1 cup of cottage cheese and a container of yogurt at a meal, but his portion size may be different. No, he should not skip a meal. Cardio on an empty stomach is supposed to be good for burning fat. I always have a scoop of protein powder (120 calories) before lifting in the morning. I feel like I need something to get me started. Andy needed my support in the food area, so > this is what he ate. Guest guest
Sorry if this is a double post. I got an error when I tried to send it before. I had the same thought as a previous poster about the bread and apple at lunch. That is too carbs. I know it is tough to stay away from the bread. Bread is one of my favorite foods. I use the size of my fist to determine all my carbs and vegetables. I can rarely eat a piece of chicken the size of my fist. Here is an example of my menu for today. meal 1: Vanilla Protein Shake 120 cal made with 1 cup of skim milk. 60cal 10 carbs. meal 2: Cottage cheese, Yoplait Fat Free Cherry yogurt meal 3: whole wheat tortilla hamburger pizza with Fat Free Cheese. (the cheese doesn't taste the best but it has some flavor.) meal 4: Chocolate Protein Shake made with skim milk meal 5: Grilled chicken breast, green beans, grapes meal 6: 2 egg whites, 2 pieces of whole wheat toast. (I can't believe it's not butter spray on the toast) How does this sound? L8tr, > needed my support in the food area, so > > this is what he ate. Guest guest
Yeah, maybe next time I should add a couple more egg whites. I just have a hard time eating that many eggs. > In a message dated 4/9/2003 12:15:43 PM Eastern Standard Time, > rowech@y... writes: > > > > 2 egg whites, 2 pieces of whole wheat toast. Guest guest
When I was eating tuna, I did sometimes just eat a bowl full of tuna mixed with apples usually. Grapes are also good with tuna. Guest guest
My portion would be 8 egg whites and that isn't very many egg whites. It depends on how you make them. Try some seasoning. I can't imagine being full on 2 egg whites and it isn't nearly enough protein. Ever since I discovered Protein Waffles (see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bodyforlife/files/Nutrition/Egg% 20Recipes/BFL%20Waffles) I don't eat plain egg whites. The waffles are yummy and I use a sugar free syrup that has 30 calories per 1/4 cup and only 4 carbs, and a little of the Smart Beat liquid butter. I usually make the banana kind the most, then pumpkin, then blueberry, and occasionally the other types. I've had to make some adjustments to my eating this year. I was sick of tuna and never really was that fond of it so I started to cook chicken or turkey breasts on Sundays for the lunch meal during the week. Sometimes my carbs choices could have been better so I also prepare a bunch of brown rice and sweet potatoes every weekend to eat with lunch and the dinner meals at home. The next area I need to work on is getting more vegetables and berries in my diet for the meals at work. Guest guest
Aimee, I split a 12 oz can of tuna into three portions and add a tsp of Just 2 Good mayo to each portion. I used to add sweet relish, too, but I've been out of it for a long time and can't remember to buy any! Sara I see a lot of you are eating tuna, is it just a bowl of tuna with a small amount of FF mayo and seasonings?
