12 Week Results (I'm Back) - Long

Hi Group:

I hope my name still rings a bell around here (Jen A.). I have decided that

my BFL success is in direct proportion to my involvement in this board. I

had a few " off " weeks there and was " hiding " from this group. Not a good

idea. The daily check-ins, information sharing and encouragement I was

getting from this group is priceless.

I'm back. I've learned in life that your number of " do-overs " for most

things is never limited. I ended my first 12 week challenge yesterday and

today is Day 1 of Challenge #2. (I'm doing 4 back-to-back this year in an

effort to drop a total of 90 lbs.)

Here are my results for Round #1 (I am submitting entry because I did comply

with rules using EAS products):

Fat loss 17 lbs. Weight shift from 218 lbs to 201. Didn't break that 200

mark I had hoped for, but I'm on my way. I went from 52% body fat to 48.6%.

Yeah! Now the majority of my body make-up isn't fat anymore. In inches I

lost a total of 8.25. I don't know how evident the changes will be in my

photos, but again -- I'm on my way!

I didn't get into the pair of jeans that I wanted to that were two sizes

smaller than the ones I started in, but I can zip them -- the buttoning and

actually being able to breathe in them comes next.

I feel better than I did 1/1/03 and have more confidence in my abilities and

knowledge on health & fitness. If I can do a so-so job and lose 17 lbs,

imagine what I can do in this next 12 weeks.

Here are My Goals:

1. Lose 30 lbs of unwanted body fat

2. Gain at least 3 lbs of lean muscle

3. Enter the River Bank Run 5K on May 10th and finish in under 48 minutes

(using hr monitor range of 95-140 bpm)

Thanks in advance for all the support and encouragement I know I will get in

this next stage of my journey towards my best body. Thanks for reading this

long post and for allowing me to come back to the group. I promise to give

my support to you in return.

Hi Jen A.,

Your results sound like a lot to be happy about. I am happy for you. My

first challenge I experienced several hurdles that threw my off a bit, i.e.

strained my left arm where it swelled up so much the doctor thought I had a

blood clot, and had a cold, then Christmas hit during the last two weeks and

it was al over for me. And on top of all that I had great results.

I think there is so much to feel good about in the face of what you

accomplish even when you miss some of your workouts and meals that it is

totally win/win. No shame to making a good effort to improve yourself and

your life, right?

So here's to your second challenge. May you meet a part of yourself that has

remained hidden until now.

Thanks, Kelley. I appreciate your positive spin on my first challenge and it

helps to know that others overcame hurdles in their challenges and have

continued on the path.

One day at a time....... Thanks!

Thanks, Jen. Someday I'll be a " pro " at this like some of you who've been at

it for years.

I appreciate all that you do to keep this great resource available for all of

us.

Hi Jen A.!! I'm so glad to see a post from you... I was wondering

what happened to you! :) You had some impressive results from C1.

Like you said, imagine how awesome you will do on the next challenge

now that you've got the hang of things. ;) Keep up the good work!

Jen B.
