Guest guest
Interesting what you wrote about Gaba... can you expand on your post please my daughter has heavy body hair, terribly reactive to inhalants and very sensitive to light as well as prone to unreasonable anxieties... what is the significance of those things? i was recently told to try Respen A... but i am not i know enough to start ________________________________ To: Autism_in_Girls_and_Women Sent: Wed, April 14, 2010 9:30:08 PM Subject: Re: GABA and SAMe Hi Joan, First I need to ask you some questions about and then we'll go from there. Not everyone can take SAMe, and GABA supplements do not cross the blood brain barrier, so taking GABA is not effective. You can, however increase GABA activity by taking precursors and other supplements that act on GABA receptors. More later... In addition to anxiety, does she have obsessions, depression, allergies (inhalant and/or food), paranoia, heavy body hair, mood swings, dry skin, rages or sensitivity to light? Let me know all that apply. Thanks, > Dear friends, > My daughter is 15, and currently finished withdrawing from Lexapro > and Trazadone. Guest guest
Hi Nuha, I was asking in relation to overmethylation, undermethylation and pyroluria. Your daughter has some of the symptoms of overmethylation and pyroluria. There are blood tests that can determine this. Do you know if she has high serotonin? Did you have an epidural and/or pitocin when you gave birth? If so, Respen-A might be something you can look into.
