Guest guest
Hi All - Since I've been getting over a bad cold, I haven't been exercising for a week, and when I don't exercise I get insomnia. (I sleep like a baby because of BFL!) Like last night. Last night - or should I say early morning 4 a.m. - I watched an infomercial from a company (Wieder) that's competing with (obviously trying to steal biz away from) Bowflex. http://www.thecrossbow.com Apparently they have the bow type of system, but it looks like a lot more cables, so I'm not sure if more cables makes the " weight " feel lighter. The price is attractive though (so are the models - I recognize one from http://www.undergear.com - hehe). Checked out the site, and only one exercise illustration stood out like a sore thumb as not being kinesthetically correct - the one for a bent-over row. Imagine doing a bent over row using a cable machine with the cable at the bottom and the wierd angle that would be @ versus using free weights. The rest of the exercises looked OK. Does anyone have experience with this machine? Or is it still too new to judge? It hasn't won any awards or anything yet. Secondly, is this the same Wieder company as in Joe Wieder and his group of magazines? Or just someone else using the name? Jeff
