Guest guest
Hi, My daughter is 17, so although she is small, she is fairly well developed. She wears bras and always tops that cover the bras. Question is: summer wear. I'm of the generation that does NOT show bra straps (I'm 58). I bought my daughter some cute jean and cotton rompers and some strapless tops for the summer. She has some tank tops, and I'm planning on buying her more. She's used the tank tops in the past to provide some under-coverage for low cut tops --- tops with a sleeve, so bra straps haven't shown. I'm going to have her wear tank tops with dresses that have elasticized tops, and I figure the dresses give enough support that she doesn't need a bra. However, what about extra coverage under shoulderless, spaghetti-strap, or tie-at-neck rompers? She needs more support than the tank tops alone will give? I know that some people wear bras that show along with their tank tops or other shirts that expose bra straps. But what is acceptable (especially for our daughters) and what is tacky? TIA --- I'm obviously no fashion maven, LOL! L
