For the record, Wisconsin requires ALL food processors to keep customer records in event of a recall.

I just reread what the lawyer said REQUIRED CUSTOMER list is in the bill NO ID NO FOOD Anyone in Wis want that in their raw milk bill??????? Anyone remember their NAZI Germany history from the 1930s? Don

But they don’t make customers leave their addresses

and names at the grocery store do they? Do you need to give your info to buy

raw veggies, because they killed more people than dairy raw or not

No, the grocery store is considered the customer if you are a food processor selling directly to the store. But the way the Wisconsin bill is written, you can't buy the milk at the grocery store but would have to buy it directly from the farmer anyway, and not in the store.

I'm on your side, remember? Just don't want to see people cry Nazism unnecessarily.

Okay. Anyway, they're the ones the food processor needs to keep receipts for, rather than store customers.  -- *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Yael Grauer http://www.dirttime.org

It is a pass thru, they don’t consume having their

names does nothing health wise in a recall. Because IF THEY DID HAVE A RECALL it

would be impossible to contact the store customers, SO WHY WOULD THEY MAKE THE

FARMER GO THRU MORE THAN THEY MAKE THE STORE.

I wasn’t directing it toward you just passionate about

the cause, sorry if it seemed directed to you

I'd have to respectfully disagree. If they had a recall, the store would be responsible for posting notices, etc. As I understand it, a food processor who sells individual customers AND stores foods has to contact the individual (non-store) customers as well as the stores in event of a recall.

Keeping a list of customers is nothing. We have a custom slaughter license in TN

and at one point 3 or 4 years ago I got a notice to keep a list of all people

who came on the property. They wanted names and the car's tag numbers. Never

been asked for them, just got the notice to keep track.

Belinda who is not so good at keeping track...
