Guest guest
Hi all, my ds is booked to have the above, to look for inflammation in his small intestines (on the NHS!). I had been persuing a pillcam investigation, but they have suggested this as an alternative option, so i was just wondering if anyone else has had this done and was it useful??? I have my doubts, but have said yes to it to appear willing and because it is non-invasive, but also out of curiosity as i had not heard of this before despite my numerous forays within the NHS!!! So i would welcome hearing if others have had this done and any opinions on its effectiveness....or not! Tia, Nikki
Guest guest
This is not my area but it looks as if ultrasound can be used fairly effectively to look at ileal changes. I attach a paper on using it to investigate the effects of surgical intervention.KenSubject: Ultrasound to look for inflammation in SI?To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Date: Wednesday, 30 March, 2011, 11:39 Hi all, my ds is booked to have the above, to look for inflammation in his small intestines (on the NHS!).
