Guest guest
Wednesday, February 11, 2009 lots to report yoga wise last night i did wii fit yoga as well as 2 sets of push ups/planks. i unlocked the 20 reps but i dont' think i am quite ready. going to stick with the 6 reps doing 2-3 sets then move up to 10 reps for 2 sets and build up from there. they are not easy especially trying to keep from and balance for the wii board to count your reps. i also tacked on some other wii fit strength exercises just for fun doing planks and side leg lifts for balance and tricep extensions just b/c i don't do them enough on the game(then again you don't use weight so its not 100% challenging) but i did do the 20 reps per arm. i did some stretching on my own before bed.this morning stuck with another scheduled workout with yoga zone basics .. like most other yoga zones this is a 40 min workout broken into 2-20 minute segments. so it could be use in a more versatile manner for what one is up to that day. i did both. seeing this is basics, it wasn't an overall challenge but it was a nice gentle workout and did give some good stretch and opening to start my day. the first segment is led by a lady named michelle while her male partner al worked with her demonstrating poses. in the second half al lead while michelle worked with demonstrating. at times it seemed to move slow and i wanted to rush but that wasn't a bad thing. learning to slow down and work on breath and form is something IMO, the every yogi should try. some get so hung up on power/ashtanga yoga and this free fast flowing that sometimes you should take it down a notch. b/c purpose is to bring the healthy vibrant relaxed feeling of yoga into your everyday life. if you can't do it on the mat then how can you do it in life LOL. great lesson huh? well anyway once i caught myself i either held a post until they caught up and just focused on breathing. then flowed with them in slow movement.may or may not do stretching later. its not "you have to or fail thing" but it would be nice to add it in slowly here and there to relax. tomorrow i have christi taylor up. haven't picked a specific workout but i want it to be step. fitness blogmy domainSpecial Needs Scouting Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will
