Guest guest
I'm trying to formulate my resolution to provide for our daughter's future. Our journey through her Autism is making strides. That said, like most parents of special needs children, I wonder if we will have the funds to accommodate her needs...and how to provide for her adulthood, if she still needs assistance. Insurance doesn't cover most of her therapies, and I don't know if that will change if healthcare reform goes through. Plus I have my own health issues. I've looked at getting a job at a local retail store, but I am the primary facilitator/teacher of her Son-Rise Program, so I just can't justify the time away from her. So, I'm trying to think of a business that I could start at home. I'm looking for some ideas. I've organized or helped with fund raisers (walks/concert/etc.) for Autism charities in the past and have done dog rescue, but I have come to realize that with my stage 3 kidney disease I need to get our own financial foundation solid for our daughter's future (in case something happens to me) before I try to do for everybody else. I want to do more charity stuff in the future, but I need to figure out a sustainable income so our daughter has what she needs long term. Your insights are appreciated. Peace be with you!---
