It is in my Optimum Nutrition Protein powder and I also have some

packets that I use on occassion. I like it and haven't had any

problems.

I use it occasionally, but I'm not really fond of the flavour... it's

licorice-y (the black kind, not the Red Vines kind). I prefer

Splenda for anything that I use artificial sweetener in, although

it's extremely rare that I use any at all. Stevia is a perfectly

safe sweetener though, it's been used overseas for more than a decade.

I think stevia has a funky taste especially as an after-taste. I

can't stand it even though it would fit my long-haired, organic-food

kinda lifestyle.

I also use Splenda even though it's probably not that great in large

doses over a lifetime....

I have noticed that since I've been on the BFL-style of eating that

my craving for sweet has dropped considerably. The other day I

forgot to put a packet of Splenda in my coffee and it really tasted

good to me.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I too have noticed a change in my desire for sweets. I also notice that I

don't particularly like fried foods (on my free day). I had a donut this

past weekend and I truly could only taste the oil and dumped it after two

bites. Now that's change.

My biggest craving is salt. So, on my free day, I have chips and salsa

and/or pretzels to get it in.

You guys are lucky. My choclate cravings are still huge and a bear to fight

some days. What I do notice is on my free day after I chow on doughnuts and

coffee how crappy I feel. However, as of yet, it is not enough to stop me

from indulging !! lol

Absolutely, without a doubt! Last Saturday on my freeday I did not eat one

cookie, piece of cake, candy, ...nothing! Knock me over with a feather. I

would normally have a new box of chocolate covered Oreos waiting for me. The

only sweet thing I had all day was a Starbucks tall cafe mocha (mmmmm). I

wasn't holding back...just didn't crave it. How about that?!

Yes, your cravings will change. I still have a craving for sweets

but free day takes care of it. Also, the craving is less than it

used to be.

As for Stevia, I like it in Coffee or the Protein Powder that has

it. Otherwise, I use Splenda since Stevia has a funny taste in

everything else, but maybe you could get used to it.

I went over to my GF apartment last night, and it smelled like

brownies, although her roommate was cooking chinese food. Something

really strange must be happening to my sense of smell! This has

happened a few times lately with other things. Is this normal? I

know it's slightly off topic....

Yeah! Try it with their Cherry Flavored Syrup -- a " Chocolate

Covered Cherry " ! Probably equal to 6 BFL meals, but yum!!!!!
