Guest guest
Panel today said they were cutting our hours of community support by over 55% from 1 April. Additionally they say they are taking away even more becasue they say H can go to a local arts prtoject which is finded by the Aiming High money. I think this project isn't suitable for H and I have no transport to get to it, either. If you add the additional hours cut from Community support because he's supposed to go to this project, the cut is over 70%. As an alternative we are being offered the " choice " of a totally personalised budget, to include education funding, budget of an as yet uncertain size, because they (who? how?) would need to do another assessment. Does anyone have a personalised budget here? What do they think of it, please? I suspect the whole thing is to a) save money and tie me in knots. While Henry is now away Monday to Thursday night term time at his new school, previously we had an ABA programme which ran for 52 weeks a year, so we have lost all the support we used to have in the holidays, which was up to 40 hours a week ABA. Henry now will have 16 hours a day alone with me in the holidays, stimming virtually all the time, as I haven't the energy to do much with him - and we can't go anywhere because I don't drive. As you can imagine, I shall have to try to fight this. His Statement says he needs a waking day curriculum... Margaret
