Guest guest
http://www.yourhealthbase.com/Parkinson's.htm "The main pathological feature of Parkinson's disease is the progressive destruction of dopamine- producing cells in the substantia nigra region of the brain stem. The loss of dopamine production affects the balance between dopamine and acetylcholine in the brain with the result that messages to the muscles become garbled. It is estimated that the characteristic Parkinson's disease symptoms develop once 70 per cent of the dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra have been destroyed(1,2,5,8). The question as to what causes the destruction of the dopamine-producing cells has puzzled researchers for years but a consensus is now emerging that Parkinson's disease is caused by oxidative stress and metal toxicity(1,2,5,8). The idea that oxidative stress, i.e. an excess of free radicals in the body, can cause disease was first brought forward in 1983(12). In 1994 Professors Halliwell and Jenner of King's College, London proposed that neurodegenerative diseases and Parkinson's disease in particular were the result of oxidative stress(13,14). Numerous studies have shown that Parkinson's disease victims have low levels of natural antioxidants (glutathione and superoxide dismutase) and high levels of iron in the substantia nigra areas of their brains. It is believed that iron helps catalyze the free radical reactions that destroy the dopamine-producing cells(2,8,15-21). Other metals, notably manganese, cadmium, copper, and mercury (from dental amalgams) have also been implicated as causative factors in the development of Parkinson's disease(2,8,22-27). Guest guest
The magnetic therapy lot like Vitalife were doing some work on parkinson's people with positive results.. The Hbot folk were also doing work on parkinson's and getting some good results.. and I think with TST has been working in this field too. HBOTT in scotland will have all the gen on HBOT stuff.. If they want to e mail me off line I can put them in touch with Dr Hannes Beck in Germany who knows more about magnetic field therapy.. and I guess you know where to find ! Guest guest
Selenium 200 mcgs/daily. Also I know 3 farmers in my area who had the shakes and took this same dose for 3 months. It resolved the problems however it's not known whether it was Parkinson's.Subject: Re: OT: ParkinsonsTo: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Date: Monday, 21 March, 2011, 21:40 There are some folks w Parkinsons on this group http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/lowdosenaltrexone/ > > > http://www.yourhealthbase.com/Parkinson's.htm > > > "The main pathological feature of Parkinson's disease is the progressive destruction of dopamine- producing cells in the substantia nigra region of the brain stem. Guest guest
I believe there is a study showing that ubiquinol can slow the progression considerably. I would use ubiquinol rather than coq10. Guest guest
IV GLUTATHIONE – you would probably have to get it done privately, but when in Florida, Jeff Bradstreet showed us this amazing footage of patients before and after the IV. The difference was very fast and remarkably effective. Needs done regularly, I think, although that was a few years ago so it will have moved on some I am sure. I will try and see if I still have the video somewhere. E-mail me directly if you like. in Edinburgh
