Guest guest
Hi Mariella, I used to work at Dore, and if your child has a cerebellar developmental delay (which basically means that the cerebellum hasnt developed properly and isnt processing information as good as it could do) then it is very good. Results are difficult to anticipate it may help with anything from handwriting to sleep patterns to concentration, but you cannot gaurentee which area it will improve. The cost is not that expensive when you consider it to be for a year or more if need be. I think with any child though, it is difficult to make them do the exercises every morning and every afternoon for a year or more, it was very difficult to motivate these children. Those children who understood why they were doing it were motivated to do their exercises, but others had very low compliance rates which meant that the progress was slow, if any. So if you know that your child will comply this often then its ok, although it does get boring. Hope this helps, their website is www.dore.co.uk Certified RDI Programme Consultant www.thinkautism.co.uk pavillions15 wrote: Hi everyone does anyone know anything about DORE we read about it in the Autism File it is quite expensive sounds great but doesnt everything when you think it will make your child talk!mariella Sent from Yahoo!
