This message board has often had postings which say

a person is allergic to Avicel. Avicel is a trade name

for Microcrystalline Cellulose. The cellulose is

taken from plants and fruit and is a natural product.

Please explain to me how people are allergic to

cellulose in reasonably scientific terms (unless they

cannot eat fruit and vegetables).

Otherwise please stop posting such speculation and

rumours as this hinders the case for LDN.

Kind regards,

Mark,

I've always wondered exactly what Avicel was. I was told it was a kind of paper by my pharmacist. I have had no problems taking it and am glad to avoid the lactose filler as I am on the MS Best Bet Diet. Thanks for the info.!

With me Avicel caused headache, nausea and vomiting. I immediately switched

back to lactose and all was 100% better again.

Hi Mark--I was happy to read the posts about the fillers in LDN. I personally am allergic to many fruits & veggies. I cannot process herbs unless they are in a tea form. Also, am lactose intolerant, so looks like I'll be asking Skip for Acidophilus...

Skip only uses Avicel, not acidophilus. You will have to use Irmat in NY for

Acidophilus filler. I've heard they do use Acidophilus on specification.
