" What if someone doesn't want to work out *six time* a week, can

someone do parts of the program without doing all of it? " And Bill

smiled and basically said, " No. " Bill said something like to make a

transfomation in twelve weeks the physical as well as the nutritional

aspect of the program is vital.

We hear all the time things like ... " I did not complete the challenge,

I stopped at week 10 " " I started three times before but things in

life came up and now I am going to start again " .

I was at a discussion this past week end where a number of life change

topics were discussed and among them diets were a popular topic. Well

to say the least a whole lot of folks knew about BODY FOR LIFE, but I

was the only person there that had done it. Instant Guru ... haaaaa!.

One of the questions was: How strict do you have to follow the " diet "

my answer was extremely strict ... to accomplish your goals in the

twelve weeks, follow the program to the letter. Next question: Is body

for life a fad diet that works for some people? No, Body for life is

not a diet. Body for Life is a program for changing your life style

and eating habits. As this conversation went on ... forever it seemed

.... things began to make sense in a new way for me.

1. looking at Bills statement above ... the diet part of BFL and the

workout program must be followed to achieve your twelve week goals.

Twelve weeks is the magic number for 90% of the people that

decide to lose weight or work out. Then they stop ... cold.

2. Body for Life the program is forever. This is where Bill tells us

to change bad habits into good habits. This is not based on twelve

weeks and it is for the people that want and will do it for Life.

3. How hard do you have to work at the diet? How strict do you have

to be with the workouts and the arobics? Well if you look at BFL diet

and 12 week goals, very strict. If you look at BFL program and for

life, not so strict. No not blasphemy, just reality. If you have

52#'s to lose and you set a goal for 2 years, you only need to lose

1/2# per week. If you set your goal at 1 year you need to lose 1# per

week. If your goal is 6 months you need to lose 2#'s per week.

Conclusion: BODY FOR LIFE is designed to fit and too work for anyone,

any time and in the way they want it too. For Body for Life to really

work where changes is life do not affect it, then first and formost

our goal should be " changing bad habits and replacing them with good

habits " not weight loss. Most of us make the diet primary, make the

12 weeks primary and probably for good reason ... we know we need to

lose weight ... and ... we just might be in that 90% that quits after

12 weeks. Oh yeh, and for those that say " I started bfl but did not

complete the 12 weeks " , yes you did ... unless you started within the

last twelve weeks, because those twelve weeks still went bye.

My favorite question of the weekend: I am very patient and willing to

take all the time needed to lose the weight, What fat burner and fat

blocker do you recommend?
