a swig of Flax Seed Oil for the benefits and because I actually

remember to take it then. Yesterday I added CLA (1,000 mg

capsules)to my diet but am unsure how much to take.

Hello , first the dosage I would stick with is the manufactures

recommended dosage.

CLA, is actually found in sunflower oil, and the product is expensive.

There really has been no or little proven advantage over taking the

Flax seed oil, so I think you really would want to look at that. You

want to take 3 teaspoons of flaxseed oil per day, I add it to my

protien drinks. This is a full load of Omega 3 oils. Also the flax

seed oil should be refrigerated even at the health food store, the

only company I recommend is Sprectum because they even ship it

refrigerated to the store (never use this oil for cooking). If it is

not refrigerated it loses its properties.

Dr Udo, who started the flax seed oil usage has now revised his stand

on flax seed oil and recommends Hemp oil instead. Hemp oil contains

the same amount of Omega 3 but also contains Omega 6. If using the

flaxseed oil, he says it should not be used for more than one year

because of the lack of Omega 6.

From what I have been able to assertain is, if there is an advantage

of CLA, it would be the Omega 6 and that if there is in a small

amount.

Hello , I did not want to throw this into the mix until I had a

chance to double check. The recommended dosage is 2.8 - 3.4 grams per

day for weight loss. Most manufacturers of this product quantityies

are 1g per 1,000mg capsule. So your answer would be 3 - 4 capsules

per day. I would guess you could lower the dosage since you are

taking the flax seed oil also.

Thank you! For the CLA I have read several articles in different magazines,

(MM, FitnessRX, etc.) about it for about six months. One said that and that

for some reason people who take it have less abdominal fat. The August Congress

on Obesity in Brazil, say they don't understand quite how it works but that it

effects fat as brown fat, releasing it as energy instead of storing it as fat.

I like the idea of taking the Hemp instead of the Flax, however couldn't find

it at the health food place I go to, I'll have to check around. The benefits

are just too good to pass up! In the mean time I'll have to up the flax seed

oil, since I've only recently started taking it regularly I should be ok for a

bit.

I went through 6 weeks of this combo- EAS CLA and Udo's Oil

and haven't seen any accelerated fat loss. Udo's is great for my

skin, joints, and such, but I have not seen anything that leads me

to think it helped me lose fat.

Just to warn you about having high expectations from these

supps- there STILL is no magic pill.

From what I have read both for CLA and for Flax Seed oil is it seems

to work more as a fat blocker and less as a fat loss. When doing a

bulking phase a lot of the BBlds use it to keep from gaining fat

weight.

A few people I know say they have gotten good results from CLA/ECA

combinations. This tell me that it does seem to help with blocking

fat gain.

Rats! No magic pill! Actually I am just thrilled that it's done great for my

really dry skin (my legs no longer itch) and if it helps the joints, I am all

for it just for that. Thanks for the information!

Sorry, ECA? Interesting about it being a " fat blocker " that clarifies the

article I read about the brown fat, very interesting! Thank you, you're great!

, I think ECA is a questionable product that needs to be

approached with caution, now with that said: ECA stack is a weight

loss suppliment sold under a lot of names, Ephedrin - caffiene -

asprin. When combined in the right quantities it helps burn fat.

Some people have had bad side effects from the ephedrin so now a lot

of the substitute fat burners will say ; ephedrine free.
