Hi Everyone,Walking and Pilates to the rescue this morning. My back/hip etc is flaring up - partially from all the holiday prep work and partially probably from getting back into the weights this weekend - my legs are sore and I'm sure that isn't helping my back either. So - 3.2 miles on the treadmill. I tried to do a walk/run but my hip really hurt, so I just stuck with a good pace of walking. For variety I did 3 min flat land walk/2 min 2% incline walk. I'd like to do more with the incline, but my chiro has advised against it - but I don't always listen to him! I figure when I walk outside I hit some hills. Followed my walk up with Ana Caban's Intermediate Pilates Mat Work - an oldie but a classic. After doing this routine my back and hip felt much better.Lesson Learned: Pilates and Walking (TM, ,

outdoors) need to be staples in my routine!Hope everyone has a good day.

Tomorrow I have my outdoor walk scheduled with my friend so in the morning I'll probably just do some Pilates or Classical Stretch.

And, I have exciting news! I have the FIRM Express kit coming to me as a gift! I'm excited and once I see the workouts and suggested rotations I'll come up with a plan to use them. I think to avoid injury I need to make sure I mix in enough lower impact, Pilates and stretching. Take care -Donna

WOW Donna! That's great you are getting some new TOYS! I wish I could get that but I owe too much in Dr. bills, and tests. I did however get an interpreting assignment for tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and my boss is going to pay me $10 and hour more from 5pm to 10pm! So that will really help to pay a couple of bills. Take it easy with your back, don't do too much! Jen From: Donna M-P

Hi Donna,I think you'll be able to modify and still get good results, I too have Firm Express and an injured hip/back (to a far lesser degree and the injury is slowly healing), sometimes I modify the modifications and while I may not feel much of a burn while doing the moves I'm finding that I feel everything the next day.

Can't wait to hear what you think of FEVennitta
