Transition is not a problem for her. It never has been, we've been very lucky.

She's asserting herself. She's raw now, but we'll buff some of that out. Quite

typical in some respects..... Many thanks for your thoughts....

With my daughter (now 7), she brings an animal or sometimes several with her

everywhere.  She has her " agents " that are in her backpack for school, cats and

dogs that go to sports practice with her sister, a group that goes to the

grocery store, etc.  It used to make me a little crazy when we gathered up all

these " things " everytime we had to leave the house.  Then after reading on this

post, I realized that she needed these things to transition from home to

wherever we were going.  She even takes a " friend " in the bath or shower.  Her

" friend " gets a shampoo just like she does.  No more battles.  It takes a while

for the plush animals to dry, but it's worth it.
