Private School Open House – Arlington, Texas USA From The Flint Academy: Please join us on Friday, February 19 at 7:00 PM for an open house. This is a time to hear a presentation by Dr. a Flint, founder and director of The Flint Academy, about the unique aspects of our school. You will then have the opportunity to hear our classroom teachers explain and demonstrate the advantages of our school environment. You will get an up close look at the Flint-Charlotte Mason educational approach. DIR/Floortime YouTube Channel Although I have most experience with the ABA approach, I was interested to learn that there is new YouTube video channel devoted to the DIR/Floortime approach. I think that there these methods actually share a lot in common, particularly when you look at the incidental teaching methods of ABA. There are currently only a few videos, but I found them to be very helpful. http://www.youtube.com/dirfloortime/ Temple Grandin Movie Premiers This Month A new film about the life of Temple Grandin, a college professor and author who has autism, will premier on HBO February 6. Dr. Grandin is the author of several books about her life and experiences with Autism.
