Your responses prove that parents of children with ASDs' are very knowledgable. I agreed with everyone on the treatment of elevated ammonia levels. If the levels are really high, sometimes it may be good to repeat the test to ensure accuracy. Ammonia levels require blood samples which must be separated from serum and then frozen. Yucca root is a good natural supplement but in suspension form is difficult to take. Lactulose can be helpful. Clostridia andPseudomonas infections can increase ammonia levels.
