I'm soooo behind on reporting in. I've stayed consistent done very well with my eating and am holding steady and/or losing weight and inches during this holiday season, that's a first for me -

But you'll lose it! This has been a different  last part of the year for me, no candy during Halloween, so far no cookies in December and there has been crazy baking going on just crazy control and not feeling deprived - it's a nice change.

Next week we are having a team breakfast at the Country Pancake House so I've planned that meal to be my cheat meal for the week, so, no stress and I'll fully enjoy the meal (if I can't finish the breakfast I'll have half in the morning and the other half for a second meal), my other meals will be on plan and not having stress keeps the weight in check.

LOL, I have no idea! My guess is that my taste buds have changes and stomach is either smaller or I'm listening to what my body wants. My tongue might like it but I end up feeling crappy afterwards. I tried to eat a lot on Thanksgiving and midway through the day felt awful, it was wasn't worth it.

I'm also seeing (and feeling) the results of clean eating and like it, when I look at the people that attempt to sabotage, I don't want to look like most of them and am just not going to do something not good for me because of their issue(s).

I think I'll start using some self-hypnosis so that I don't lose this mental state, I'm not bitter, I still laugh and smile a lot but can still say no without guilt.

2011 may well be a very good year Vennitta

Allow yourself a little bit of stuff anytime you want it! Note: "a little bit" and the other part would be to hold yourself accountable for it. If you track food, make sure you write it down! The more you force yourself not to eat things, the more you want it and the more out of control you're going to be when you finally do let yourself have some.

I write it all down! Quite frankly, when write it down I'm far more successful (something I learned from ), and when I really, really want it I have a little, but lately I haven't really wanted, example, someone at work put a donut on my desk after I said I didn't want any...one of my favorites...I thought about having a small bite then decided against it and threw the stupid thing away. Truth is I didn't miss it and since I didn't allow myself the taste didn't overeat later. There are a few things that I just can't seem to control myself with (butter toffee peanuts and honey roasted almonds and cashews come to mind - LOL)

I think the closer I get to maintenance mode I'll do WW, I need to make this a lifetime change.Vennitta

This is awesome, Vennitta! If you know it isn't going to drive you nuts later that you didn't eat, then really, what is the point. You're doing so great! Not to sound like a WW pusher but... the program is for people just like you are now, wanting to change and willing to work at it. Why wait until you're closer to maintenance? Except maybe to save money, especially if you're feeling good about your own current efforts, that would make sense. But then that makes me wonder why you'd think you'd need WW then, since you are doing great without it?

I'm in weight loss mode right now, I'm concerned about what happens when I need to maintain. I figure if I'm at or near goal I won't freak out when my weight loss slows, but I've got another 30 pounds to go so I won't be going WW just yet.
