What do you do when you can't workout?

Arggh! I woke up this morning with a bad headache. I feel like I need to go

see my chiropractor, which I'll probably do later today. I'm bummed though

because I was trying to get in a complete week of workouts, but with this

headache and shoulder pain I know that if I did my weights today my head would

explode. So instead I'm up early working in my office instead of working out in

the basement. :-(

Sorry, I just felt like complaining.

oh no! sorry to hear this paul. i hope that you arent coming

down with a cold... i always get headache, kinked neck and sore

shoulders when a cold is coming on :/ either that or i have

slept on it funny (if i dont sleep on my back all night, i wake

up in pain... cant even have my head tilted to one side..ugh!).

maybe a hot shower, or a massage might help. or i hope you

make into the chiro. feel better really soon, ok?

if i cant do weights, because of my neck/shoulder issues, i do

lower body stuff, like walking, biking, unweighted lower body

stuff like gilad's 'power & grace' (isometrics and plyo mainly),

then do lots of stretching. do you think that your weights

might have been too heavy for your jari workouts this week?

Thanks for caring. Actually I think my issues might be from doing my physical

therapy exercises to deal with some shoulder/back issues. Or they might be from

sitting on the couch in a bad position. I went to the chiropractor this

morning. I'm sure I'll be better by tonight. At least I hope so because I

really want to hit Danny Sullivan's Kickboxing tomorrow morning.

, sorry you woke up feeling so lousy. I am hoping as the day went on you felt better and were able to get a workout in. Those days aren't fun, especially when you are on a roll with good workouts, and it sounds like you are. Sometimes we just have to give in and listen to our body. Hope you feel better.

Awwww bummer !!! Can you do some slow walking place and then stretching or other slow moving kind of thing? That way, you're still doing something good for you but it isn't jarring. Just an idea. I hate days like that. I hope you feel better soon!
