Guest guest
Awesome deal !!! So glad you were able to find a transfirmer for cheap!!Sorry about the DirectTV guy ... I hope you get everything worked out. Bowling sounds fun, I can't wait until our boys are bigger and we can do more stuff like that with them Darcy I picked up my new (used) transfirmer today!!! It the 2 piece version and is a lot bigger than I was expecting (the size of the fanny lifter made me think it might be smaller) but that is okay. It is a little scuffed on some of the corners but is in excellent condition otherwise. I fooled around with it a little and it will a huge ton easier to change around than playing with my club step and slanted risers, plus my small step (or now, my fanny lifter) for leg presses. I'm very excited about it and the woman I bought it from was too because she wasn't using it anymore! I paid $20 and got the transfirmer and 4 DVDS: Supercharged Sculpting, Ultimate Calorie Blaster, Jiggle Free As and Aerobic Body Shaping** (see note at bottom). Jiggle Free Abs is still sealed in the plastic too! Buying all that new would have been $80 plus shipping!!! Even on ebay I haven't seen it all go for less than $50 or more with shipping! I only had to drive about 15 or 20 minutes to get it too. I probably won't actually use it until next week but I'm excited to have it! Semi-off topic update: DH is finally feeling good after stomach flu he is fuming. The guy who put in our DirecTV did all kinds of crappy things, including cutting the wire to our roof antenna (which we used to get non-local stations, including Windsor's channel 9 for Hockey Night in Canada, I love Don Cherry's suits, DH watches the games) to use it for the DirecTV hookup. This was a contractor through AT & T. I'll be calling AT & T Monday to talk with a manager and possibly the BBB to lodge a complaint. We're not into complaining but there are wires everywhere and the guy made a huge mess. DH did say he can very easily hook up my VCR in my basement workout room though so that I can use both the dish and the VCR without unplugging anything to use one or the other. That will at least make my workout experiences easy again (once I actually get a remote that works for that TV, AT & T is sending me a new one). I might get a weaker signal for the dish but that probably won't be a problem. We'll be saving a ton of money by switching but this has been a terrible experience. I hope it ends up being worthwhile (to have saved the money). More on-topic: We took the kids bowling yesterday afternoon. That was my fitness experience for that day. I don't even remember when we bowled last (a few years ago easily). DH and I used to bowl in a leagues together for years but neither of us was ever any good at it, we just had fun. I don't bowl anymore because of the stress it puts on my fingers (it usually triggers a vicious RA flare) and I'm thrilled that I protected them enough that I'm not flaring today (plus I took motrin as soon as walked in the door, I'm sure that helped). The only problem is that I wasn't putting my fingers all the way in the hole (my knuckles were a little swollen too so they weren't fitting well anyway) and it was tough on my wrist plus I wasn't able to control the ball well. I was surprised to actually feel my heart slightly elevated after each throw but, of course, with 4 people bowling on the same lane there was a lot more resting time than throwing time (and I'm sure it was nowhere near my training zone but I wasn't wearing my hrm) so I still didn't think of this as any sort of workout but that wasn't the point, we were just there to have fun as a family and any exercise benefit was a bonus. I was kind of surprised at how little strength I had in my wrist too because my arms and shoulders are so much stronger than they were when I was bowling regularly. I use a 12 lb. ball. My bowling shoes seemed tighter too. I said to DH, " I obviously bought these before I had kids! " Even though I'm probably 25 or 30 pounds lighter than I was when I was bowling league, my feet expanded and apparently never fully came back after pregnancies! For anyone who cares I think I bowled 84 the first game and 107 the 2nd game, something like that anyway. Like I said, I'm a lousy bowler but I don't care. There was another family bowling next to us for a while and we all had fun cheering each other on. The mom & I were joking about how Wii bowling had ruined us for the real thing!!! (The remote weighs a couple of ounces!) It was a lot of fun though! Off to make dinner rolls (in my bread machine and oven) and a veggie tray for Sunday and dye Easter eggs with the kids too! ** I already had Aerobic Body Shaping so if anyone wants to trade for it (especially Firm videos, I want the bootcamp one and the kickboxing one, the rest of the Jiggle Free series and tons of others so suggest anything, I've got a long list of other non Firm workouts that I'm interested in too) please email me privately! ** I'm also going to sell my small (home size) step with 4 sets of risers. If anyone in or near Michigan is interested please email me privately about that. I'll be putting it on craigslist soon. **
Guest guest
Thanks!!!! DirecTV keeps unfolding. DH keeps finding more garbage (in the yard yesterday) the guy left behind and other crazy things he did in hooking us up. I have to call later today to have them program the new remote they sent us and to talk with a manager. Ugh. Doing things, like bowling, is great! My kids love it! Today is the last day of spring break and they want to see Monsters versus Aliens so I'll probably take them this afternoon. This has been a rather expensive spring break (bowling for the four of us was just about $30, the movie isn't cheap even in the afternoon these days but rollerskating was good because Miriam had a free pass to use). It was still less than actually going on vacation at least and we're having fun together too (that's what I'm telling myself as I finally update the budget and checkbook and see the damage done, I'm still trying to adjust to DH's new paycheck and it ain't fun but it is tons better than not having one so I am NOT complaining). Re: update Awesome deal !!! So glad you were able to find a transfirmer for cheap!!Sorry about the DirectTV guy ... I hope you get everything worked out. Guest guest
Hi , I posted a couple of weeks ago how I was on 6 BP pills with a BP of 170/110. My new doc put me on Inspra 50mg daily and Benicar 20 mg daily and d/c the 6 BP pills. My BP is now 150/70 and getting lower by the day. I don't have insurance so I can't do the blood work and urine labs right now. But i am having success with just the two pills. My 'PA' symptoms are also much less decreased. I have had uncontrollable HBP for so long I have LVH and Cardiomyopathy. Hopefully I can get the results that had with the decrease in his LVH. Confusion and foggy brain is much better Muscle pain is very decreased Palpitations have decreased Thirst sensation is gone Fatigue is getting better Chest pain is better Considering these events I will assume I have 'PA' until I can get diagnosed. I am also trying to dash. I know that will help even more.
Guest guest
Glad he has chosen to try Inspra. Remind your team that Benicar will not work in PA and can likely be stopped.Trust you took my "Evolution of PA Article to them. I hope they find it worthwhile. Remind them I trained with Dr. Conn.Trust you are DASHing as well.Sounds like MCB and lowering salt is helping. Keep us posted. Guest guest
But when they play are the animations there such as the adding of lines to the view etc. I usually have all of mine that way.Can do as a pps and then one does not has to have a viewer as I recall.CE Grim MDOn Aug 25, 2011, at 5:02 PM, Francis Bill SUSPECTED PA wrote: There are some ppt in our files and they seem to play ok. some may need to download a ppt viewer. > > > > > > >
Guest guest
The new cardiologist did! He had a big sign on his wall about DASH and he gave me a pamphlet. By the way he is a htn specialist do you know him? Dr Elijah Saunders of University of land. I see him again in 6 weeks. He said then maybe he can see if I need the two pills. Also then hopefully I will have money to get lab done. I assume he did tell you about the importance of DASH in lowering BP? The beauty of the DASH is that you don't have to lose weight for it to lower BP. But better to do both if you can Wt and BP are poorly related in most people. Our research suggests that obesity pushs BP up only to 140/90 and it takes more to get it higher. Most likely all those salty Subways. Get the subway salt contents online. You may be in for a shock. I used to have a slide that showed how to get 4000 mg of sodium in one meal at Subway. And that was before you added salt so it tasted good. Just found the ppt. How can I set it up so others can play? Don't think we can do this at Yahoo. I have probably 30 talks, posters that would be of interest but do not know how to do them. Maybe same to Utube?
