Guest guest
Althea, I think an actual recommended list of vitamins would be helpful, but each person has seperate needs and responses to the chemicals known as foods and vitamins. The silly thing is that I personally don't fully trust in other people's lists. I also know that to mix a special MS cocktail would cause all kinds of chemical combinations and break downs of vitamins etc. which are best stored seperate until swallowed. However I take other peoples advice seriously. - In a message dated 4/10/05 2:08:22 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Aletha@... writes: Hi , I was wondering about the same thing in regards to when is it too much omega. also takes fish oil and flax seed. Guest guest
I FOUND YOUR RESPONSE VERY INTERESTING ESPECIALLY THE MAGNESIUM BECAUSE THE RATIO IS USUALLY 2:1 WITH CALCIUM BUT WITH MS CONDITION MANY KNOWLEDGEABLE ALTERNATIVE PRACTITIONERS FEEL WE SHOULD TAKE EQUAL AMOUNTS. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU TAKE 1500CALCIUM YOU SHOULD TAKE 1500 MAGNESIUM. COFFEE DEPLETES MAGNESIUM OUT OF THE BODY AND THAT IS MY ONE VICE. I NOTICE LOUD VOICES BOTHER ME AND BRIGHT LIGHTS SO I AM GOING TO INCREASE MY DOSE OF MAGNESIUM OROTATE. THE INFO ABOUT THE LECITHIN IS GREAT TOO BECAUSE IT EATS UP SATURATED FAT WHICH HAS BEEN SHOWN TO CAUSE THE BAD TYPE OF PROSTAGLANDINS TO COME OUT AND CREATE THE INFLAMMATORY MYELIN DESTROYING RESPONSE. Guest guest
Althea, I love wishful thinking! It leads to happiness, a lightened mood, creativity, silliness, is great for interacting with my 19mo old son, and drives my wife a little nuts. -

Guest guest
Hi , I thought about that to. You are right of course. We all react differently, and some of us do not need to much of one item while someone else needs more of it. And then there is the thought of chemical reactions with some items not working well with others. I was just wishful thinking. My best Aletha Re: [low dose naltrexone] more stiffness at 2.0mg from irmats Althea, I think an actual recommended list of vitamins would be helpful, but each person has seperate needs and responses to the chemicals known as foods and vitamins. Guest guest
Orotates penetrate very easily into the cell membrane. Magnesium oratate reduces cholesterol, high blood pressure, protects the kidneys and the biggest thing for us is the protection of the oligodendrocytes. The cells that make up the myelin. There is more but I can't remember. If you look up the papers on Hans Neiper it will tell you the whole story behind the mineral transporters. Guest guest
There is a multi vitamin form Swanson catalog called Longevital. It is 32.00 versus a formula from Life Extension that sells for well over 100.00. Among other things it has lecithin, milk thistle100mg, grapeseed, flaxseed, olive leaf extract and all the basic B complex and other vitamins and essential minerals. Re: [low dose naltrexone] more stiffness at 2.0mg from irmats Aletha, I agree with you about needing one MS vitamin that does the whole works. I think taking them all can be very trying. We need to lobby for this!
Guest guest
Thank you Kathy, I will look it up and see what dosages each items has and see if these vitamins will be close to what is currently taking. If they are close that would be great, even if it just cuts down on a few of the pills that he needs to take. Guest guest
Maybe they are part of the same company although I have a feeling there may be nothing preventing an Australian company using the same name as an American company and vice-versa if they are not worldwide companies. That is basically a guess on my behalf so could be totally wrong. As far as dosage goes my 700mg was right, but in total each day, not for each tablet. From the label, each tablet contains 179mg of St 's Thistle Fruit Extract (Silybum mum) which is equivalent to 6.27 grams of dried Silybum mum fruit. marciemjm@... wrote: > There is a Nature's Sunshine in the States too.
