Guest guest
Hi Shaun, I already welcomed you to the group off-list, but wanted to say WOW to your progress so far. I don't remember that info in your intro, but maybe I missed it. Keep up the good work and remember, only lazy people see a dedicated bodybuilder as " obssessed " . LOL OK, there *are* people who are genuinely obssessed, but I still think that only those who are *not* fully dedicated to their health and fitness can justify classifying any one of us as a fitness freak. Ha! Feel free to do so, ya couch potatoes... why dontcha open another beer and your second bag of chips after you finish that pint of Haagen Daz??? Wait, let me tell you how I really feel about that. One of the reasons I am doing BFL instead of a 'diet' is that this program has (and still is) teaching me a whole new and haealthier way of not only eating, but of living. I have hypoglycemia and used to live on carbs because of the constant dips in energy I experienced. Now I eat six times a day and the balanced protein and whole food carbs keep my blood sugar stable between meals. I also enjoy the exercise aspect of the program. For years I would say almost everyday... " I really need to be exercising " but would never get around to it. This program explains exactly what to do and how often. It was then just a matter of my planning it inot my schedule. And I love it! This program also supports healthier thinking. If you and your husband do not have one already, then immediately go and get yourselves each a BFL Success Journal. It is vital to guiding you through establishing a positive daily mind set and helping you plan your meals and exercises for each day. I got mine for about $16.00 at Walmart. Welcome again. Post often and that also helps you with planning and accountability. I look forward to hearing more about your progress. Guest guest
Thanks for the info on the omega-3 supplements, I LOVE salmon, but hubby does not As for me, I was born into an Alabama family, so by default, I cheer for them...I did live in Auburn for a while though and have to say that I loved living there, even though I went to school at the 'onion'
Guest guest
Hi Kim (and Jay) and welcome to the group. Good plan to start after your vacation. You can use the time in between now and the start of your challenge to get yourself used to the nutrition plan. Test it out, get used to eating more often during the day, etc. Good luck to both of you! I look forward to hearing about you putting your engagement ring back on your finger. Guest guest
Proceed directly (do not pass go, do not collect $200) to your favorite book store and pick up a copy of the Number One Best Seller " Body For Life " by Bill . Read it front to back at least once - twice is better! That will give you a very good start and we'll help you along the way too! The most important part is crossing the abyss (Part II of the book). I wish you all the success you are willing to work for! Guest guest
I suggest that you purchase the Body for Life book or check it out at your local library. Then, if you have specific questions, regarding the plan, let us know. You need to read the book since it will get you motivated to do the program and motivation is a big part in sticking with a plan such as BFL. What are you doing know for exercise and eating? You mentioned that you were doing well so it sounds like you are trying to get started. Andy > > Hello everyone > I am new to this group. I am from PA and i am 28. Guest guest
Hi , and welcome to the group! I agree that you need to get the book and read it through a couple times to familiarize yourself with the BFL program. You can check out www.bodyforlife.com for lots of great info, but the book is invaluable. Also, I suggest you get the BFL Success Journal... it is a GREAT tool to track your progress and keep you on the right path. Jen B. > > Hello everyone > I am new to this group. Guest guest
Hello all. I'm fairly new to raw dairy. Enjoying this new step on the path to health. We have three teens and live in the country. Still we drive an hour each way to get our raw milk in glass half gallon jars with the name of the cow from whom the milk came on the jar. We love it and can't wait to learn more.
