Thank you for posting a link to this

article. I found it excellent. I am now reading from an article

cited in a link by one of the commenters. http://www.foodpoisonjournal.com/uploads/file/Comparing%20Food%20Safety%20Record_Revised%281%29%281%29.pdf

It seems very interesting also. I am going to be taking some time

to explore this.

As a small producer of goat milk in

Idaho I look forward to our proposed regulations for producing raw milk for

human consumption sales legally BECAUSE the state is going to be coming around

and testing finished product for Bacteria. Coliform, SCC and Residues.

A gain Thank you for posting this.

Could ignoring REAL UNPASTURIZED religion be a major problem?

In that day CURDS [raw dairy?] and honey [raw?] will be consumed by those left

in the land but will it come with a USDA label of approvable?

While many would applaud this. It makes me want to cry. The costs for a STATE INSPECTOR to travel around and take samples can quickly become overwhelming for a small operation. While many areas have done this at the beginning at a reasonable rate in order to not have a outcry it never lasts for long. It also opens one up to forced animal registrations, manditory vaccination and a host of other additions that come along later. It is much like the State legalizing cow shares ploy. By default people are setting a legal precedent saying the private ownership of animals for personal food production is illegal. Piece by piece the constitution is being dismantled. In the end I am saying;"Be careful of the long term ramifications of seemingly harmless gains."Kurtis As a small producer of goat milk in Idaho I look forward to our proposed regulations for producing raw milk for human consumption sales legally BECAUSE the state is going to be coming around and testing finished product for Bacteria. Kurt.. I expect you are unaware that the

state of Idaho

assesses the testing to the producers on the basis of pounds of milk

produced. As a small producer I estimated my cost at $2.70 a year.

The big dairies are definitely subsidizing the little ones. I think

it is good for the public and good for the producer to meet cleanliness standards.

The head of the dairy division also explained to the goat group that state

inspection is significant in protecting the producer legally.
