Guest guest
Hello.......Maybe I did not post an intro..... The other day, I tried to post a reply and never did see it..... Could be the reason...... <G>My name is Tami. I live in N. Central Texas. I have been raising Nubian Dairy Goats since 2002, enjoying the milk personally, all along. We also are beekeepers here on the place. We have also been known to raise some LGD's. The property here is for the comfort of the animals and those that don't like it can leave! <G> I personally feel that the TX dairy laws suck. It is legal to sale raw milk, but it has to be farm pickup (there was talk a while back about changing that, I don't know for certain if it has been changed) and one has to be Grade A. Obtaining a Grade A for Raw Retail license can be entailed and costly. It would be nice if farm shares were easier and not so controversial. It would also be nice if the state would relax the laws (year, right, what with big dairy involved?) and promote EDUCATION (open, non biased education) for the public and let the public know what to look for..... And then let the consumer inspect when they buy (not really inspect/inspect, but look.......). I'd like to see more of an open door policy. Tami/TXtruckin_blues@...
