difficulty finding words and other things

Hi. My daughter was just officially diagnosed as Autistic at the age of 11. She

has been having a lot of trouble finding words and her vocabulary has dropped

dramatically. When she does talk, it makes no sense most of the time, just a

bunch of words mixed together. Is this normal? Does this happen to kids that had

a fairly good vocabulary? nna gets so frustrated when this happens. She

screams, cries and hits herself. It's been happening more and more frequently.

Should I start using more pictures with her? Will this make her lose what words

she has left? So much is going on with her all at once. She used to love to go

to the store with me, now I can't get her to go anywhere. When she does we end

up with a major meltdown. She rocks all the time, violently when she's really

upset. She can't write or draw anymore, she used to. It's just so sad. I hate to

see her so upset and not be able to help her. When I try to talk to her she says

she hates me and that she's stupid. I don't know what to do. She's already

taking medication for mood control and her seizures.

When did this start before or after meds?Has she recieved any flu shots this

year?They lifted the ban on thimarisol for these now!Did not do enough double

blind studys.Could she have a virus?Do you have cats?Think outside the box do

blood test please!! Get a good doctor.She could have anything?Pre- puberty can

cause more seizures. Mom of 10 yr Girl old with PDD-nos non verbal but great

with gaggets and computer mouse!! (sorry if I dont have great spelling Just an

Artist with tooo many paint fumes!) Ha ha Deb K

I also would hit the probiotics but with antifungals (the same days a few hours

apart.)My favorite probiotic has been VSL#3 caps google the site. This should

get coverd by insurance because of the feeding tube.My mainstream Gi doc always

gives antifungals with antibiotics and probiotics!!Much luck!! Deb K

pjrd, I to be of reading and not as wise as some here to the diet and bio things

but their words are of very good and wise.

I to be of was unable to take of the vaccine for flu and or the swine flu due to

egg suspect allergy and or issues to eggs. but due to fear of the swine flu the

medical doctor encouraged and gave of me the shot to prevent of pneumonia.... I

to not be of prone to that as only had of it in my current memory once right

after a sugery, but within days of to get of that vaccine i to got of sick much

sick and for weeks struggled with health issues to it. I to finally ended up

getting a pnuemonia even though got of the shot to prevent of me from to get of

it...

odd that never had of that illness, get a shot and within weeks get of

pneumonia... strange reaction that even confused of the doctors because it is of

not a live vaccine.

but like of you daughter got agitated, insomina was and still is of a major

issues, very stimmy, very off inside of self as if the outside of me and the

inside of me are of two very different beings because they are of not

coopertating, I to also been of to have major large jerky and odd arm and hand

flapping and such. Been of chewinf the sleeves of may of my shirts and some now

are of frayed and has of holes to them. that makes of me angry to have some of

my favored shirts for my home to be comfortable in are of now a mess on the

sleeves and colars, but will not rid of self of them because like of them

anyways.

also my kids noted that my face looks of much pale and the rings under eyes are

of noted to be of darker and the one eye of me tends to be of drooping more and

like a tired eye lid.

I to be of also had of a hystorectomy 5 months ago and feel the health of me has

improved in some areas and gotten worse for me in other ways too, I to went to

the ER this weekend for female isues of bleeds and not sure of why because

should not be of to have of that once of the hystorectomy and went in and the

insides of me were of a mess.

the hospital doctors was of greatly questioning that they felt someone was of

harming me inside of the body and kept asking of much questions because of the

large rips and tears and bleeding areas. they called of a speicalist in to see

of my body inside and he felt it was of possible polyps that had ruptured or

ripped or teared of some how. so now have of to go back to the GYN for more

surgery. the reason I to shares of this too is that because of the health things

to me they have had to constently put of me to antibiotics over and over and

naprosyn, and vicadin and other sorts of medicines... all these things needed

for the pain and infections but also due to my autism has caused of me to be of

a mess inside and more than likly have a major issues to yeast over growth. so

yes wil need of a good probiotic sort of things and to a rigid strict diet to

prevent of more yeast issues.

Sondra I feel for you. Stay srong this may have been hard for you to write but I

think it helped others.VSL#3 does help (great probiotic) very stong no inulin.

My daughers bloated belly has gone down and we also use OLE 3 weeks Oregano oil

2 week I mix them in about 1/4 tsp honey at the end of the day and probiotics in
