Guest guest
Crawford?????? M. GuppyMy autism journey isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain.... Texas Autism Advocacy: www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org "There are some aspects of a person's life that we have no right to compromise. We cannot negotiate the size of an institution. No one should live in one. We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education. Everyone should. We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make their own choices and forge their own futures. All must." Subject: Looking a teaching specialist/consultantTo: "Texas-Autism-Advocacy" <Texas-Autism-Advocacy >Date: Thursday, October 9, 2008, 11:05 AM I am a home schooler of my son with Autism who is 10 years old and non-verbal.I am looking for someone to work with me and help me develop detail plans and curriculum to teach him academics, language, and life skills. The person has to have extensive background and several years of solid experience in SUCCESSFULLY teaching older, non-verbal children.I use a variety of teaching methodologies, including verbal behavior, RPM , errorless learning, prompting/fading, both in structured and natural environment.I have a variety of teaching materials, and the latest tools and technologies, and am open to try different and new ideas. The person I am looking for has to be a minimum of a BCABA or above (prefer a BCBA), a special education teacher with both solid work experience and relevant educational backgrounds.I am looking for someone to learn from, and not to have to train myself, someone ready to pick up what I am doing with my son as quickly as possible and help develop his program further. Please don't respond if you only work as an ABA therapist without solid experience in designing and planning programs. Please don't respond if you are just a special education teacher or assistant without the required experience and expertise.I live in the NW side of Houston. Please reply privately to ginaamsbcglobal (DOT) net.
