Guest guest Posted April 14, 2012 Report Share Posted April 14, 2012 Just curious. . .any one using pine/cedar/wood shavings in your barn as bedding ? ? Just added shavings to my regular bedding of straw in the last 9 months. Thought is was more absorbent than straw alone, and felt it was helping me get more use out of each re-bedding. I don't use any bedding in the barn during warm seasons (May - Sept) since the moisture seems to attract the flies. Question - Does anyone worry about the Formaldehyde in wood shavings ? Wonder about my health and breathing it and the goats health too. Am I overreacting ? Does anyone know of shavings that are 'natural'. I live in eastern Colorado.
