Guest guest
Hi everyone, It's been at least three or four weeks since I've posted and there's only one reason - I've been trying to keep my head above water when it comes to everything going on with my body since we got back from vacation. I'll try to summarize for everyone. I've really missed everyone, but could barely deal with everything myself. First there was the stress fracture that happened right away on vacation. - so I finally get the cast off.. foot is still swollen and then the docs finally decide to do a MRI like the ER doc recommended in the first place - had that done yesterday - see the ortho doc on friday. Right before we left I had an MRI of my back because it is absolutely killing me. RD wouldn't order it - said it was all inflammation, pain doc said, no we need an MRI he told me I have Spodylosis, Stenosis and two bulging disc and said see a back doc - RD doc finally agreed Kineret isn't working but won't mention MRI of back. Went to GP for a few things and my Ear had been bugging me. There is a whole in the same eardrum I had operated on. Saw the ENT, he said " It's up to you " .. WHATS WITH THESE GUYS? Like I know whats Best? I tried to tell him about stills and explain what happens when I get sick if there is a defect, he said, Hey - I'm an ear doc - save that for your RD! I couldn't believe it, We talked with him a long time and decided to wait. He said he wouldn't do it now, but then again, he doesn't know stills... There's been other smaller things, but I try not to sweat those... On sunday, I got what my sister calls a small cold, what I call a catastrophy. By last night, my temp was over 104 ( it gets high at night usually anyway, but it's different, like managed better, 102 or 101 without the cramps, swollen glands, ear aches etc.)... So now I'm just plain a mess. Too sick to even try to go to the GP - I'll have to wait to long.. my plan -- call the RD -- pathetic.... Anyway - I hope everyone is doing well. I'll try to post more regulary. Tomorrow is the Neorulogist to look at my back MRI and make sure I don't have any stress fractures in my back, Friday I find out what they are doing about my foot.... Next thurs, they are suppose to start Orencia (I Hope) That;s it Hugs to All
Guest guest
, Girl you are having a time of it. KNow that we are thinking about you adn check in when you can. I also have a hole in my eardrum. When I was about 5 or 6 my eardrum busted and I had it repaired then. About 10 years later a tiny hole formed again, so tiny they couldn't even see it, but I knew it was there from the liquids and air getting in. Eventually it was big enough to see and when I was 28/29 I had it repaired again, after 10 years plus walking around with it. Well, it's back. About 2 years ago it popped open again. This time I'm not going to do anything about it. haven't even seen a doc for it as i haven't gotten any aches that are too bad. I just don't get water in it. I know there is hearing loss and an even increased risk for more with the hole, but I jsut feel like why repair it again and put my body through that when it'll probably pop again. Frustrating I know. Just wanted to let you nkow you aren't the only one with an extra hole in your head! Houston, TX

Guest guest
darling: I'm a little late here and I apologize. The tropical storm is finally over for the most part. It's still here somewhat but just the tail end of it, so we still have wind and a couple of drops of rain but that's it. Yes, we are flooded. I have to tell you, I broke my foot (actually it was a fracture) a couple of years ago and my pediatrist (who happens to be a friend of ours) was very surprised by how sensative it was to the touch and how swollen it was even after the cast came off. It was the Stills, honey, even he knew it. It took the better part of six months before it healed completely and I too had an MRI. That happened to have shown " arthritis " and swollen tendends. I see a chiropractor for my back. I do have small fractures in my lower back and yes it causes a great deal of pain but I'd suggest you talk with one or two of your doctors first before going to a chiropractor. The reason being that not all " crackers " know what their doing when it comes to us. I was lucky, I have a young man that was willing to learn about our illness and treat me accordingly. I had been to one of those " know it alls " and had gotten hurt. , if you're anything like me, you probably don't sit down or stop to rest easily. Personally, I have to be knocked down on my butt before I stop. My husband enjoys helping with that part, by the way. I know, as you do, that it's important to rest but even after all these years I can't seem to stop doing things. Many of my posts include stuff like having to do laundry and such. You know something? It'll be there, it's not going anywhere and it will get done eventually. The point is: STOP AND SIT DOWN! Take care and be well, love.
