Regional

Professional Development

in Autism

The

Texas Statewide Leadership for Autism is comprised of two organizations:

the 20 Regional Service Centers and the Texas Education Agency. Together,

they have created a program to help educators who serve kids with autism

spectrum disorders gain more access to training, support, and various other

resources.

The

Texas Education Service Centers (ESCs) provide training and technical

assistance to schools within their service delivery area. Annually, each

service center determines the training needs of the educators and parents

within its region and designs training accordingly.

The Core

Series in Autism Training will provide training in the fundamental

components of autism spectrum disorders. These trainings are available in

two formats:

Face-to-Face

Workshops

These on-site training courses are available in your regional ESC. For more

information on your region's workshops, go to http://www.txautism.net/training.html
