Interesting too to add that high chest breathing will also affect the thyroid.. so working to breathe using full lungs will also improve thyroid function.Which may be why weight regulation happens with TST.. I guess where the thyroid is still able to respond to these changes... appreciate that in severe cases, initial thyroid support might also be necessary.

Tracey,

This is really important and I would recommend anyone who feels that they have hypothyroid symptoms, but, their GP says that their blood tests are normal, to join the Thyroid Patient Advocacy yahoo group - they are very well aware of Dr Lowe's researtch and knowledge and many people are feeling either well or vastly better following the advice from this group.

This group have already advised me with Vicky - she clearly needs thyroid hormone, but, the NHS do not think so.

I would not be surprised if most of our children need to be taking some thyroid hormone, the most recommended being Natural Thyroid Extract which most GP's and endocrinologists will not prescribe.

Diet alone may not be enough to improve symptoms and it may be necessary to take some hormone.
