Guest guest
Hi Everybody ~~ Just wanted to let you all know how much I have been enjoying your posts lately. There is so much information to learn from and I like the commraderie of the group going on. The things to laugh at -- like the eyelashes on the chin -- have lightened my load and been fun. Talking about the everyday challenges has been good for me too, as it keeps everything in perspective when I know that some of the things I am going through are shared by others. Since deciding to start tx in January, I have set things up with my hepatologist for December 5th and a psychiatrist appointment on December 17th. My husband is off work the first week in January so it is likely that I will start treatment toward the end of that week. That way we can enjoy the first half of his vacation with something fun, then he will be home with me for a few days when I take the first shot. I'm one who waited 5 years to do anything about tx. I was more afraid of the sides than I was the disease. Now it's the other way around, I fear the disease more than the sides. This comes after getting my head outta the sand by doing a lot of research about liver disease and ESLD. I don't want to have to live through that if I don't have to. Thus, the decision to tx. I do have one difficult thing to do in the next little while. I have still yet to tell my family (son, parents & brothers & sister)...I've been chicken. I have not wanted to admit that my one time to use IV drugs likely got me in the mess I'm in. Also, I have two brothers that have Hep C...one who didn't clear with tx and one who ignores it. So, I haven't wanted to tell my family -- "Yeah, me too." If you are a praying person, please pray for me for wisdom and timing. I know I need to do it very soon as I don't want to hit them with the news and say, "And I'm starting tx tomorrow!" I also want to get it out of the way, so it doesn't spoil the holiday festivities. Thanks so much for being there...it means the world to me. Blessings, Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell.
