Guest guest
I like Ravi/Ana Kundalini too, Donna! I can't always sustain the breath of fire for the duration of the exercise, sometimes I need to take a break and come back with the stacatto breath, but I always feel fantastic after these yoga practices! I have all but one or two of them, and most of them are pretty long, so I like to save them for the weekend when I have more time. Hi Everyone, Today I did Burn & Firm Pilates w/ Ellen Barrett from her " Crunch " era. I like this one - mild elevation of the HR, good muscle control on the exercises if you concentrate. Followed up with the " Rise and Spine " series from Ravi/Ana's Yoga for Beginners and Beyond. I also did the " tune in " and " warm-up " sections. Kundalini is really different to me than the other types of yoga I tried, but I think it is really good for my back. They do a lot of continuous movement - and this particular sequence worked on the spine - so a lot of bending, flexing, extending and rotating. It really made me feel good. May have to consider adding this one to the collection at some point (it was a library borrow). I have a couple of other Ravi/Ana's in my collection - but not this one. I am not quite sure why - but this type of dynamic movement (Kundalini and Classical Stretch) do a better job of stretching me out than a lot of static stretching. Static stretching just seems to make everything tighter. Take care!Donna
Guest guest
They are really good -and, although they are long, it is pretty easy to just do segments. I usually like to do something in preparation (warm-ups, breath primer, etc.) and then something at the end (meditation, closing prayer, etc.) but the middle of it can be whatever I have time for. Thinking of Kundalini as a cleanse for the week between Xmas and New Year's!
