Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone on the list has ideas of how to " nicely " kill yeast in KT. I'm making some herbal extracts using KT (will report on later), and they are growing ugly yeasty blobs. I've filtered some of them 2 or 3 times and still see it. I'm concerned the yeast may be eating some of the good stuff from the herbs. One of the things i wanna do with these extracts is to flavor KT, so i don't care about yeast and bacteria, in fact i'd like to get rid of them. I know GT's and other folks pasteurize KT, but i'd rather not use heat. I was thinking about trying freezing, has anyone has any experience with that? What would i be losing potentially? Beer and wine makers use chemicals, are there any additives that aren't poison? Any ideas would be appreciated. - Woody
