Guest guest
Just filling out the information they have asked for and I noticed I have to give proof there is a place at the school I want, well I know for a fact they are full and can't show this, what to do now? Definitely didn't have to do this last yr at 's appeal, infact he was ultimately squeezed into an already full class. TIA Vicky
Guest guest
What does proof mean? A letter saying a place was available? Special schools reorganise classes every year and mix age groups. Whether a place is available .............is a matter of will really. Ring Sendist up and ask them? Talk to the school directly and see what they say " We are full " or " It's up to the lea " . The school will have a slightly different point of view from an lea officer and will want extra pupils. So they might be prepared to say something like " We accept anyone sent to us by the lea " . Ring them up and make a note of the conversation, they will be more un guarded on the phone. Then read it back to them and see if they will put the " accept anyone " line in writing. If they won't, write it yourself as a note of the conversation and send it to the Head, chair of governors and the lea as a record of the conversation. Ask them to disagree if they feel your contemporaneous note is inaccurate. If you get no response, use your letter and notes as proof for the Tribunal that a place exists if the lea says so. A contemporaneous note is accepted as evidence in court. How do you mean " have to " ...........they have accepted that you have a case? What will happen if you can't " prove " it? xx Sally veronicamadigan wrote: > > Just filling out the information they have asked for and I noticed I > have to give proof there is a place at the school I want, well I know > for a fact they are full and can't show this, what to do now? > Definitely didn't have to do this last yr at 's appeal, infact he > was ultimately squeezed into an already full class. > TIA > Vicky > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.5.516 / Virus Database: 269.22.10/1367 - Release Date: 09/04/2008 07:10 >
