This article was in sen's Hunting magazine. If you want you can go on line to the URL and post a comment. About 25 years ago, the person who did organic certification in NC was a daytime employee of an oil exploration firm. Makes you wonder what these people do that causes them to want to assuage their guilt in this manner. I do not hold with making any animal's life miserable, they should always have feed, water and shelter, not necessarily luxury accommodations, but appropriate to species and weather. I do wonder if those PETA and HSUS members who solicit murder do even worse than abuse animals in their daily lives?Billhttp://www.petersenshunting.com/2012/02/23/animal-rights-nut-tried-to-hire-hitman-to-whack-fur-wearers/Animal Rights Nut Tried to Hire Hitman to Whack Fur-Wearers

Hey animal rights wackos! You know what’s more like murder than wearing fur? Actual murder.

Despite her objections to animals being killed in the name of fashion, animal rights activist Meredith Lowell seemingly had no problem

taking the life of a fellow human being, and the Ohio woman is now being charged with soliciting a murder.

According to CNN,

Lowell, a 27-year-old from Cleveland Heights, created a phony Facebook account seeking out a hitman in order to take out a random person wearing fur, either by shooting or slitting the throat of the apparent fashion offender.

Federal officials say Lowell posted, “I would like to create an online community on facebook which would allow me to find someone who is

willing to kill someone who is wearing fur toward the end of October 2011 or early November 2011 or possibly in January 2012 or February 2012

at the latest.â€

After an undercover FBI agent contacted Lowell posing as a hitman, Lowell instructed him to commit the murder in a library. Once the killing was through, Lowell said she would hand out animal cruelty literature to bystanders.

Even more deplorable is the fact that Lowell apparently had no qualms

with killing a child, reportedly telling the agent that the victim should be “at least 12 years old,†and that 14 years or older was preferable.

“Bring a sharp knife that is at least 4 inches long, it should be sharp enough to stab someone with and/or to slit their throat to kill them,†Lowell allegedly said in an email.

She was arrested Tuesday by federal marshalls.

Officials say Lowell had sent an email to the Cleveland Heights Police Department in April 2011. The email indicated that she was conducting an investigation into the fur industry, and that the police department should do the same.
