Guest guest Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 , I can't speak for anyone else, but my raw milk comes from a Jersey, and the cream is what I love best, can't get enough of it. I have the cream by itself , almost everyday, lol, I think I am addicted to it. I have low blood sugar, and am (was) lactose intolerant, til I started drinking raw milk, I have not ANY problems with raw milk and feel like a different person on it. As far as the fat content of the cream, I am a fairly slender lady, it has not put an ounce of weight on me, and I feel the frequent dips into the cream keep my blood sugar more level. Feed me junk food and I will gain weight, feed me raw cream/milk and I don't gain an ounce......... Just my experiences with it. It has enzymes and factors that properly digest and utilize the WHOLE of the milk cream and everything. You take something away and you start to cause problems. One example is you take the fat (cream)away and your body's ability to use the available calcium and others minerals disappears. Especially kids need whole raw fats to grow a fully functioning nervous system. The conventional doctors have more to learn about nutrition. Why would it hurt kids? if the cows are on grass it's good fat! the full cream milk does take a bit to get used to but you do get used to it's rich, creaminess. our cows are dry right now and we all miss our fresh milk! drinking the stuff from the store just isn't the same.... Ok....2 questions...I have heard that skim milk is not good to drink.....so......when you take the cream off the milk, what do you do with the milk? You can't truly get "skim" milk unless you use a cream separator to separate the cream from the milk and then it takes ALL the cream out. The milk will have a blue colored tinge to it. if we separate using the cream separator we slop the milk to the chickens and pigs. That's all it is good for. If i need cream for something i will skim it off the top of the milk in a jar. But then we usually drink the rest as not all the cream has been taken out as i mentioned before. The milk just isn't quite as creamy and rich. I always have my milk in the glass large mouth gallon jars, so there is easy access to the cream. I use the skim milk in cooking or feed it to the cats and dogs, but I also drink it, I don't think skim milk is necessarily bad for you, just is better whole, and definitely tastes better.
