Guest guest
Twice this week men that want to date me have told me this, which infuriates me. Both of these men are entrepreneurs / work from home / have their own business, and I suspect they have lazy schedules compared to those of us who do the 8-5 grind. One, my ex, runs a guest house; the other is photographer. I am a busy person, like most of you. I get up at 4:00 am to work out before work, I go to work, when I come home I often work out a second time and am in bed by 8:00pm. On the weekends I need to spend at least some time cleaning house and lets not forget, prepare healthy grab and go meals for the week. I have friends and enjoy the performing arts scene.I have to do most things on a schedule, if not, the important things won't get done. People that sit around and watch tv during the week after work often perceive me as neurotic and not taking the time to “slow down and smell the flowers”. On the contrary,I do in fact smell the flowers - on a walk up to Mt. Tabor or in the Japanese Gardens! I don’t just sit around and wait for Life to happen to me, I MAKE it happen. It’s like these lazy people, to make themselves feel better, like to call us productive people “neurotic” to justify their own lassitide. Whatever.. Being a single fitness freak isn’t easy. I haven’t had luck meeting people on Craigslist or Plenty of Fish. I want to join the running club that meets at Nike Town on Mondays and Wednesdays after work, especially once my knee is fully healed. I think that running is a very romantic thing to have in common with someone! Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead and is better than I was last night at resisting holiday party temptations!
