Guest guest
Good points, ! I think you are correct. I was interested in a weighted vest at one time, but I read up on them and I don't think it would be good for my back - I forget what the guidelines were - a certain % of your weight...I'll have to see if I can dig up that research again. I remember seeing a vest at Walmart a few months ago that intrigued me, but then read up about how it may not be good for my back - compression, etc., from the added weight. OH - another thought on your barbell - wait until after the holidays - January always rings in w/ fitness specials for those New Year's Resolutions! Take care! It is all sitting on your upper body, possibly even pressing on your chest where your heart and lungs are. When you weighed a lot more, it was distributed more evenly over your entire body. 2. We aren't usually aware day-to-day of the effects weight has on us. We usually gain fairly gradually (it doesn't seem that way, but you don't go from one weight to 75 pounds heavier in the course of a week) and we also lose gradually so we don't notice it as much. Enjoy your goodies! My goodies for today Hi all again, I finally got around to opening my packages today. I got my new Cathe weighted vest. I am confused though. This vest weighs 20 pounds. I have lost 74.5 pounds so far. How is it that I was carrying around that 74.5 pounds all that time every day, yet when I put on this vest that weighs only 20 pounds it feels so heavy. WTF. I am wearing it now and it is soooo heavy. That part will have to remain a mystery I guess. I also got some DVD's that I ordered from various sources. I got The Method-Dynamic Body Makeover, and both of the Peak 10 Cardios from , I will give at least one of the Peak 10's a go round this weekend, as they are both too long for a weekday workout. I also got 2 urban rebounding DVDs, compilations 3 and 5, (I already own 1 and 2) I got those on ebay, and I got one from Swap a DVD called Ultimate body, challenging workouts for weight loss, I have no idea what that one is yet. It's still in shrink wrap. I also got a new magazine that I just subscribed too. It looks awesome, it is Oxygen magazine. I don't remember if I got it from Tanga or from the bestdeals magazine site. I had never seen it before, but it was so cheap I couldn't resist. I love it, it has workouts and recipes and weight loss success stories and advice columns. It does have quite a few ads, but it's all fitness stuff so I even liked some of those. One of the packages was just a phone book from a county I don't even live in, I don't know why they sent it to me, I guess because I live in a rural area and they send us all the ones from the surrounding areas. I didn't order it. I am off to take off this vest now, it's really heavy, it will be very helpful in my weight workouts where I can't lift that heavy barbell overhead. Have a great nite everyone. in CA
